Natural Hemorrhoid Pain Relief or Traditional Methods?

By John Smart

Hemorrhoids, otherwise called piles, can become swollen and give a whole new definition to the word pain. Hemorrhoids are located in rectum or anus. Sometimes both. Hemorrhoids can be outer (external) or inner ones (internal). Because of the location of the hemorrhoids, many people would rather suffer and try to live with the pain than to get help to cure them.

Some medical literature states that being overweight can cause hemorrhoids, but you don't have to be overweight to get hemorrhoids. Doctors have also said that for women, being pregnant can cause hemorrhoids because of the added weight of the baby and the strain that comes from pushing during delivery.

The internal ones can cause you to see bright red blood in the toilet or on the tissue after a bowel movement. That's usually the first sign of hemorrhoids. If you've ever gone to the doctor after seeing blood when using the bathroom, these internal hemorrhoids are easily overlooked because they're not easily visible, unless due to straining they've become visible.

Because of family history, because you have to do what you have to do on your job or around your house, you can't always prevent getting them. But you can prevent having to live with the annoyance and the pain they cause. That's one thing that is under your control.

With creams? There are hemorrhoid creams available for you to buy over the counter, but the only problem with most hemorrhoid creams is that they don't fix the hemorrhoids. The creams only tame the pain but that comes right back the next time you go to the bathroom. So you're forced to buy yet another tube. Then another. Why don't they work? Because if they truly worked, the manufacturer of the creams would be out of business. Not only that, some of these creams can cause some pretty nasty side effects.
