Valuable Info On Gaining Pounds By Natural Means

By Miriam Whiting

There are different ways in order for you to increase weight. But of course, the healthy way is the best way to do that. You must understand that there are certain amounts of calories and nutrition that you need to consume every day. Ask for your doctor's advice on how much calorie you should take daily because you will have to take extra calories than your body needs if you want to succeed on this one.

You need extra calories in order for you to gain weight and while it is true that most junk foods contain those extra calories, you might want to avoid them still. Aside from having no nutritional value at all, junk foods are high in preservatives that may cause you to become obese rather than have just the right weight that you want. Choose wisely and choose healthy foods instead.

You need lots of carbohydrates on your diet when attempting to gain weight since they serve as energy fuel for your body. Furthermore, carbohydrates found in most fruits and vegetables contain the amount of calories that you need. Eat more rice, potatoes and cereals to boost up your consumption of carbohydrates.

It doesn't necessarily mean that you have to avoid some of your healthy low-calorie foods just because you want to gain weight. Remember, you're doing all these in a healthy and natural way, so don't get rid of fruits and vegetables altogether. You can actually mix other high-calorie food with low-calorie ones so that you can still go on with your purpose.

Although you need fats in order for you to improve on weight, that doesn't mean you can go with just any kind of fats. Choose foods that contain good fats. Tuna, salmon and most nuts and berries contain omega-3 that will help you gain weight and keep you heart and body healthy at the same time so make sure you only stick to them when looking for fats in foods.

Omega-3 fatty acids are considered as good fats. Include more of these in your menu but do your best to stay away from Trans fats. These fats are bad or should I say evil, because they increase the risk for heart problems. They are mostly found in processed foods and vegetable oil. That's why it is advisable that you eliminate all processed foods and turn to natural and healthy eating instead.
