How Alkaline Diet Will Prevent You From Cancer

Foods that are high in alkaline and low in acid are the core of alkaline diet. Fruits and vegetables forms part of this routine. It promotes healthy body and mind. It is the balancing of the alkaline (around 80%) and acid (around 20%). If stability is not established, it endangers our immune system. Therefore prone to any attack of diseases.

Balanced pH (potential of Hydrogen) is very important to our body. It means that alkaline and acid level should be in conformity to what is required of the normal environment inside our body. But what happens when alkaline or acid is very high or very low? When we eat too much acid forming foods over time, we become too acidic and prone to illness. It leads to alkaline and acid imbalance which, if not addressed sooner may lead to some serious problems.

Before you get to the stage of getting endanger and becomes vulnerable to diseases, you must start the alkaline diet which will help you prevent cancer. Here are some healthy habits that can save you from cancer.

Vegetables are very alkaline. It includes salad greens, eggplant, broccoli, chard, asparagus, artichokes and garlic. You can consume it in large quantities if you wish to. Variation is the key so you won't get tired of eating vegetables all the time. Some olive oil and a dash of sea salts can bring a new taste on rather bland vegetables.

Fruits are also alkalizing food. They are good antioxidants as well. The following fruits should be included in your diet: apple, banana, seedless grapes, passion fruits and watermelon. Citrus family is mistaken for being acidic, but other people may not be aware is that it produces alkaline ash once digested.

Cereal grains, nuts, fresh herbs and herbal teas are excellent source of alkalinity as well. Fruits and vegetable are the prime source of alkaline. In many cases, we get maximum benefits when these are eaten raw. Foods that are processed, which is high in acid must be avoided, to prevent possible serious diseases. Beef is very acidic so you need to cut it out of your diet, or lessen its intake to say the least.

Alkaline diet is not medically supported but the significant result is undisputed. If anything, it is a healthy environment inside the body and strong resistance to illnesses can be attributed to alkaline diet. And that is very important.

Alkaline is probably one of the most beneficial diet, as it doest not restrict anyone to some particular food groups. In fact no heavy restriction is imposed on foods as long as it is taken in moderation, especially acidic foods. It does not really limit you but you just reminds of what foods can provide you with vital source of good nutrients needed by the body. Of course, there are some foods to be avoided, but same goes with everything. Anything in excess is not ideal. By adhering to this diet, you are aware of the possible diseases that may hit you. So it does not only prevent you from getting cancer, but build a strong immune system that can withstand any threat of illness.
