Proven Methods To Put A Stop To Allergic Reaction

By Adam Bishop

If you are overly sensitive to dust, pollen and molds, then you probably have allergies. You are not alone since almost 40 million people around the planet have the same condition as you. Most allergies are triggered by tiny particles (such as have been mentioned above) in the environment and the only way to prevent attacks is to get rid of these potential triggers.

Since you spend most of your time inside the house, see to it that your dwelling place is free from irritants that might possible cause an attack. Rid your house of dust mites, pollens and molds through regular sweeping, dusting and cleaning. Start from the surface of tables and other furniture and then sweep your way to the carpets in the floor. Dust can easily get airborne so use wet cloth when wiping dusty surfaces.

The house should be off limits for pets and some plants. Dog and cat fur are potential triggers for asthma and rhinitis so don't allow your kids to spend much time playing with the animals especially if they have some respiratory condition. Keep plants outdoors most of the time as well since they can increase the pollen count inside the house.

Some allergies can also be caused by dust and mites that live in your bedroom. You don't want an attack to disturb your sleep at night so make sure you keep your bedsheets changed regularly. If you have skin allergies, stick to silk cloth since silk is safer. Window curtains should also be replaced twice or thrice a month to rid them of dusts.

When outside the house keep away from grassy places. Most grassy and damp places are infested with molds that can trigger an allergy attack. If you need to work in the lawn, make sure you wear a protective mask to cover your nose and mouth. Better yet hire somebody to cut the grass, rake the leaves and mow the lawn for you.

This may sound uncomforting but allergies can kill. Aside from that, most allergies attack without warning. That is the reason why you should always be vigilant especially if you have a history of allergy attacks. Your best defense so far is to learn how to get rid and stay away from known allergy triggers.
