Methods To Reduce Those Nasty Blood-sucking Insects In Your Home

By Amanda Brines

Mosquitoes are a big problem to every household all over the world. Not only are they annoying because of their buzzing and ringing in the ears but they are also potential disease carriers. Since they can lurk in every corner and every nook of your house, do an area by area inspection and eliminate every possible trace of these alien-looking creatures.

Mosquitoes actually thrive in places near ponds and lakes or any other place where stagnant water is available. If you have garden in your home, it is one primary area where mosquitoes can possibly breed. Keep mosquitoes away from your place of relaxation by spraying the plants with insecticides. If you have a pool or a mini pond in the garden make sure you clean the water on a regular basis.

Inside the house, the kitchen can be a favorite place to stay for mosquitoes since they can also feed from fruits aside from human blood. If you keep a garbage bin in the kitchen make sure you keep it covered all the time. Make sure all containers are tipped over to dry so that mosquitoes will have no chance of laying their eggs.

You can get rid of mosquitoes in the living room by keeping the doors and the windows sealed, obviously. But for mosquitoes who find their way inside the house, keeping the pots and the vases empty of water can discourage them from breeding. Use a strong fan to blow mosquitoes away when you're spending time in the living room watching television or just relaxing with your loved ones.

Finally, keep your family safe from mosquito bites during bedtime by keeping the bedroom neat, clean and free from clutter all the time. If you also have vases or pots inside the room, make sure you change the water regularly to prevent mosquitoes from breeding on it. Once in a while, use insect spray to get rid not just of mosquitoes but of other bugs as well.

Free your house of mosquitoes and other dangerous insects by doing a general cleaning at least twice a month. Having pests inside your house may be the cause of you or your loved ones acquiring serious health problems such as dengue fever.
